Lux Provides Support at DOJ Crime Victims’ Award Ceremony
Lux is proud to have provided logistical support at the National Crime Victims’ Service Award ceremony yesterday in Washington, DC. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs (OJP) award ceremony was part of the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, which runs from April 6 to April 12th, 2014. OJP annually recognizes individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding service in supporting crime victims, victim services and victims’ rights. Lux provided the registration website and was onsite to provide support during the ceremony.
Lux corporate value pillars posit that we are “minority informed” and “community powered,” so we were inspired to hear Associate Attorney General Tony West talking about the President’s Task Force on Sexual Assault on Campus listening sessions on about how best to respond to diverse, under-served or historically marginalized victims. We were also inspired to hear his remarks on the Task Force on American Indian and Alaska Native Children Exposed to Violence.
The Lux team was led by Ms. Takako Lewis CMP, our Training & Event Logistics Practice Area Lead. For more information about Lux services contact BD@Lux.com. For more information on the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week visit http://ovc.ncjrs.gov/ncvrw/.
