Lux Presents at ACF Native Grantee Meeting
On November 9, 2017, The Lux Tribal government technical assistance team partnered with the Office of Community Services (OCS) to co-host the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) & 477 Information Session at the 2017 Administration for Children & Families (ACF) Native Grantee Meeting.
The meeting took place November 7 – 9, 2017 in Crystal City, VA. The annual meeting offered an opportunity for ACF grantees working in Native communities to exchange ideas, provide feedback to Federal staff, and learn more about ACF resources. This year’s meeting theme was “Partnering Across Nations, Oceans, and Generations Supporting Healthy, Sustainable Thriving Communities.”
Some of the 2017 meeting highlights included interactive Native Empowerment Dialogue (NED) Talks, similar to the TED Talk series, as well as dozens of workshops on a range of topics across ACF’s program areas. Throughout the meeting, attendees shared their knowledge and learned about a variety of ACF resources. A selection of CSBG factsheets, published by the Lux Tribal government technical assistance team, were also showcased at the meeting including CSBG Information Flyer, CSBG 477 – Key Points, and CSBG Frequently Asked Questions.
