Lux Consulting Group, Inc. is excited to celebrate National Small Business Week. Small businesses like Lux are making a big impact in communities across the country and helping rebuild America’s workforce. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.

I am proud to be a small business owner and grateful for the opportunity to create my own journey as a result. Being a small business owner means not giving up and trusting that if you’re doing the right things success will follow. It also means I see firsthand how Lux has impacted the community around us. We offer a free health and wellness fair annually in Downtown Silver Spring providing health screenings, wellness information, and fitness activities to residents of all ages. Also, we volunteer at a local elementary school by participating in mentoring programs and supplying resources when needed. Lux has touched people nationally through our work with several Federal agencies such as Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Education. From assisting the Health Resources & Services Administration reach potential organ donors to aiding Native American Tribes changing their communities through grants, we are here to empower the communities we serve in sustainable ways. I encourage small business owners everywhere to enjoy National Small Business Week by reflecting on their own journey and continuing to work towards the success they desire.
