This week, Lux launched its Grant Operations (GO) system to support the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Belmont Forum – a group of the world’s major funders of global environmental change research and international science councils. The GO system will be used to receive online grant applications from research institutions all over the world. Experts across the globe will review and score the applications online. GO will also facilitate communications and reporting between grant program coordinators and their grantees. NSF program staff has described the technology-forward project as “fantastic.” The first grant opportunity to be supported by Belmont Forum GO system is called “Arctic Observing and Research for Sustainability” and more grants will follow. The project team is led by Johnny Erickson and is staffed from two Lux practice areas – Grant and Technical Assistance (G&TA) and Web Applications and Services (W&AS). Visit the Belmont Forum Grant Operations website at http://www.BFGO.org or contact BD@www.luxcg.com for more information.
